According to the official news of ZF Group, the global technology company ZF Group and NIO signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Munich, Germany, and the two sides will cooperate in the field of online control steering products. The signing of this agreement marks the ZF Group's business cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region for the shift to wire-by-wire.
ZF Group Director Dr. Holger Klein and NIO Founder, Chairman and CEO Li Bin attended the signing ceremony and exchanged views on broader cooperation. Pan Yu, Assistant Vice President Supply Chain Development of NIO, and Dr. Peter Holdmann, Head of Chassis Technology for Passenger Cars and Executive Vice President of ZF AG, signed strategic cooperation agreements on behalf of both parties.
The two sides will establish a real-time information sharing mechanism, deepen communication channels, carry out regular technical exchanges, and jointly set industry process and quality standards. At the same time, the two parties plan to cooperate in the fields of brand promotion, product marketing, technology improvement, quality cultivation, and customer service.
The signing of this agreement marks the ZF Group's commitment to the Asia-Pacific region's cooperation in the steer-by-wire business to jointly promote the development of autonomous driving and electrification.
The continuous increase in the Chinese market may be due to the development needs of ZF entering a transition period.
ZF has been in the Chinese market since 1981 and has been involved for more than 40 years. With the continuous development of vehicle electrification, automation and software, ZF has received orders for series production of steer-by-wire systems in all major markets worldwide.
ZF has signed contracts not only with major automakers in Europe and the United States, but also plans to mass-produce steer-by-wire systems in key markets around the world.
